2. Sugar

Refined white sugar is toxic and causes weight gain, heart disease, anxiety and type 2 diabetes. When the liver is polluted with fructose, it can turn to fat and spike the body’s insulin resistance leading to this type of diabetes. There is also a link between the resulting elevated insulin and breast and colon cancer. Sadly, sugar is in millions of food products and can be tricky to avoid entirely. Always read food labels!
